LIME PAINTING
Lime has been used in building for around6000 years, since at least 4000BC. Early lime-burning techniques involved layering limestone and fuel ina clamp or simple kiln or even firing in the open. Later developments involved more sophisticated kilns burning line by means of a separate fuel (flare kilns) or layered with fuel (mixed feed kilns).
