A Proud Day For Heritage Masonry

September 18, 2017

Over the past few years, we have been working closely with the Scottish Lime Trust in not only learning about but also promoting the many benefits of working with lime mortars and traditional techniques.

It was, therefore, a proud day for our company, that we were invited to meet HRH Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay when he recently visited the trust’s headquarters at Charlestown in Fife.

HRH is a well-known advocate of keeping traditional craft skills alive in this country and has only recently lamented the decline of these trades and the need to ensure their survival for future generations.

All Heritage Stonemason employees attend the numerous educational classes provided by the trust to help improve their skills and understanding in the repair and conservation of our historic buildings.
